Alimony

Alimony is a legal financial arrangement between separated or divorced couples, where one partner provides regular payments to the other. Alimony is only available to couples that have been legally married.  Whether alimony is appropriate in a particular case depends on several issues; however, the answer largely depends on whether one spouse was financially dependent upon the other during the course of the marriage.  The misconduct of either spouse during the marriage plays an integral factor in the appropriateness of a claim for alimony.

Our family law attorneys take great care in navigating their clients through the financial and fault issues which are critical in the outcome of an alimony claim.
